Using the TCP Stream Datasource
The Datasource object in system:inmation can be used to represent any distinct data source or server and supports many different interfaces. One of these interfaces is a TCP stream, where it can connect to a port and stream data. This Jump Start introduces the TCP stream datasource object and gives instructions on the initial setup and configuration of the object.
This Jump Start is aimed at system administrators who wish to integrate a TCP source of data into their data network using system:inmation. This Jump Start is also useful for other users who wish to know more about this functionality and may wish to use it in the future. The reader should have some experience of using system:inmation prior to reading this Jump Start, particularly with Datasource objects, and also some experience with using the Lua interface within DataStudio.
